Overview
‘Proud Tour’ is well designed itinerary which gives you the chance to explore the major attractions of north east. You will explore some of the amazing destinations of this region such as Guwahati, Hajo, Sualkuchi and Goalpara. Visit various cottage handloom industries, where you can view the how to make an authentic silk series and other silk clothes.Visit the tea gardens of Goalpara: Simlitola Tea Estate and Moijonga Tea Estate. Apart from this you will also get the chance to explore the amazing wildlife at Manas national Park and Kaziranga National Park. The duration of the tour is 10 nights and 11 days.
Itinerary
Day 1: Guwahati Sightseeing
Upon arrival at Guwahati, meet our representative and proceed to the hotel. Guwahati, the biggest city in north east defined by the breath-taking river Brahmaputra, which flows here. The city sprawls along the curve of the river. Home to the world’s largest tea auction centre, and more importantly is the gateway to the whole of the north-eastern region of India.
On arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Guwahati – Hajo (By Road-35 Kilometres)
Today after breakfast, proceed to visit the Kamakhya Temple. The temple is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas, which is located on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city.
After visit, drive to Hajo. Located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, in the Kamrup district of Assam. This amazing town is dotted with various ancient temples Haigriv Madhav Temple is the most popular temple of Hajo. Apart from Hindus, it is also one of the most impotent pilgrim centre for Buddhist as well. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Afterfreshen up, proceed to visit the major attractions of Hajo including Haigriv Madhav Temple, Ganesh Temple, Kedareswar Temple, Dhoparguri Satra and Joy Durga Temple. Return to hotel after sightseeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Hajo – Sualkuchi (By Road-12 Kilometres)
After breakfast, drive to Sualkuchi. Sualkuchiis a small town in Kamrup district in Assam state.Sualkuchi is located on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra. Muga silk and Pat silk along with Eri silk and Endi cloth from this region is famous for its quality, hence this city is also known as silk city. There are large number of cottage handloom industries located here, so it offered known as the "Manchester of Assam".
Explore the major attractions of the place including Sidheswar Devalaya, Hatisatra, Ganesh Bigrah Temple. Apart from this you will also get the chance to visit various cottage handloom industries, where you can view the how to make an authentic silk saries and other silk clothes. Here you will will find some of the best specimens of craftsmanship.
Overnight stay in Sualkuchi.
Day 04: Sualkuchi - Goalpara (By Road-165 Kilometres)
Today after breakfast, proceed to Goalpara. It is a district in the state of Assam. This town was established in 1876 by Britishers. This town is spreading over an area of 1,911 sq km, located on the banks of the River Brahmaputra. It is known for its lush forests and stunning landscape and as a great destination for unwinding and relaxing.
Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit the tea gardens of Goalpara. There are two tea gardens in the district Simlitola Tea Estate and Moijonga Tea Estate.
Overnight in Goalpara.
Day 05: Goalpara Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Goalpara, visit the major attractions of Gualpara including Dadan Hill, Kumri Beel Lake, Urpad Beel Lake, Surya Pahar, Nandeswar Devalaya and Hulukunda Pahar. After sightseeing return back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Goalpara - Manas national Park (By Road-120 Kilometres)
Post breakfast, proceed to Manas national Park. It is the one of the renowned Project Tiger Reserve, an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve in Assam and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sanctuary is home to a wide range of animals including tiger, elephants, golden langur and pygmy hogs. The sanctuary is also popular for its population of the Wild water buffalo.
Upon arrival check in to the Jungle lodge/resort. Rest day is free at leisure. Explore the stunning surroundings.
Day 07: Manas national Park
Today early morning, proceed to enjoy the Jeep Safari inside the park. The scenic beauty and rare wealth of wild life combine with this unique world heritage site to offer one of the most enthralling experiences. After visit, return back to the hotel and have breakfast. Post breakfast enjoy the Elephant safari to see the wild life.
Later return back to hotel. Rest of the time free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Manas national Park – Guwahati (By Road-149 Kilometres)
Post breakfast, drive to Guwahati. Which is located at the distance of about 100 kilometres from Shillong. Upon arrival at Guwahati. Check in at hotel. Evening visit 'Kalakshetra', it is the unique place where, you can understand the Assamese history and culture, which presents through Light and sound show. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (By Road-216 Kilometres)
Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, Meet and assist by our representative at the airport. After welcome, drive to Kaziranga National Park, which is located at the distance of about 216 kilometres away from Guwahati. It is the home of the greater one-horned rhinoceros.
Upon arrival at Kaziranga. Check in at your pre booked hotel/Lodge/resort. Rest day is free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Kaziranga National Park
Today early morning, proceed to explore the Eastern zone of Kaziranga National Park Enjoy the national park to seating on back of elephant. Apart from the Rhino, it is also the home of some other species such as swamp deer, wild buffalo, hog deer and elephants. There are a number of water bodies inside the Park.
After visit, return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon, proceed for jeep safari through the Central Zone of the National Park. Evening come back to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Kaziranga National Park –Guwahati (By Road-216 Kilometres) (Departure)
